The BBL internally has a number of mainframe and UNIX applications that manage all monetary transactions ("events") within the bank. This information must be transferred to the accounting and reporting systems.
FAR CORE is responsible for gathering all these events and translating them into accounting concepts. The output of the system is the basis for the reporting as well.
Mr. Geens has worked on this project as OO analyst and designer.
Workload: 3000 mandays
Throughput: 1.8 milion messages per day (average). Peak (end of year): 28 million messages per day.
