AristA performs medical examinations for other companies. Every employee who performs riscfull tasks has to be examined on a regular basis, to assure that they are fit to perform their jobs.

In order to obtain a better overview of the exams that have been performed, the Across system was designed. The application provides a web interface where clients (and Arista employees) can consult and modify upcoming appointments.

Exams are scheduled automatically by the Across system and a message is send to the client. If the proposed date is not acceptabe, the client uses the Across application to reschedule the exam.

Guy Geens was responsible for designing and implementing the business rules and the appointment proposal system.

Number of exams: 130.000/year.

Later on, 2 more applications were added to the framework: ALS and HR. Mr. Geens worked on both applications from the analysis to the deployment phases.

The ALS application is used by the Arista Learning School (ALS) department. This department provides trainings for Arista's employees as well as external clients. The application is used for the planning and follow-up of these trainings.

The HR application manages the personnel data. It also allows employees to manage their time sheets and expense reports.
