AVCS Web is used by the Belgian Post to track the flow of letters through the sorting centers. The registration of this flow is done by adding labels to the trays that contain the mail to indicate the next step in the sorting process.

The main functions of the AVCS application are the printing of the labels and the association of the label with an amount of mail. The tracking of the mail is done through the use of barcodes on the labels. The users scan these barcodes during several points in the flow.

Mr. Geens was assigned to the project as a senior developper. His tasks comprised testing (both functional as non-functional), developing new functionality and coaching junior team members.

Mr. Geens has helped to create 3 releases of the application.
